Geography Scheme | Year 3/4 | Cycle A | Block 1: Allons à Paris! (Let’s Go to Paris!)| Lesson 3: What Are the Human Features of Paris?
Year 3/4 mixed-age geography lesson pack – What are the human features of Paris?
This Year 3/4 mixed-age geography lesson pack is part of our Glorious Geography scheme for KS2. Designed for mixed-age classes, it fits into a two-year cycle so pupils build geographical knowledge and skills across Lower KS2 without repeating the same blocks.
In Year A, Year 3 and Year 4 pupils follow the Cycle A blocks. In Year B, they move on to Cycle B. This supports clear progression and helps schools plan a coherent mixed-age geography curriculum.
What are the human features of Paris? is the third lesson in Cycle A, Block 1: Allons à Paris! In this lesson, pupils explore the human geography of Paris as part of their wider European region study. It can be taught within the full unit or adapted to suit your own curriculum sequence.
Each lesson pack includes:
- An enquiry-based approach with opportunities to develop geographical and fieldwork skills
- Detailed lesson planning with vocabulary, key questions, misconceptions, prior learning and assessment opportunities
- Teacher guidance and subject knowledge to support confident teaching
- Editable slides that model the learning
- Differentiated worksheets and activities
