Our Year 6 summer maths resources provide complete lesson sequences, teaching slides, differentiated worksheets and assessment materials for the summer term. Resources are organised into blocks and weeks, allowing teachers to follow the full Maths Masters progression or access individual lesson materials as needed.
The summer term focuses on geometry, shape and position and direction. Pupils classify, measure and calculate angles, investigate polygons and circles, draw and construct shapes accurately, work with coordinates across four quadrants and apply translations and reflections. These topics strengthen spatial reasoning, geometric understanding and mathematical problem-solving.
Pupils solve problems involving angles in triangles, quadrilaterals and polygons, explore circles and 3D shapes, draw accurate 2D shapes, plot and interpret coordinates in four quadrants, and investigate translations and reflections. These topics build confidence in geometry and coordinate work while supporting progression into secondary mathematics.
