About our Year 6 maths units

These Year 6 maths units help pupils consolidate and extend their mathematical understanding during their final year of primary school. Lessons are carefully sequenced to develop fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills while preparing pupils for the transition to secondary mathematics.

Across the year, pupils explore place value, the four operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio, algebra, geometry, measurement and statistics. Opportunities to apply learning in increasingly complex contexts help pupils build confidence and deepen their understanding of key mathematical concepts.

Part of our Maths Masters scheme, these units support progression through KS2 maths with clear lesson sequences, engaging resources and assessment opportunities built into each unit.
