These Year 5 maths units help pupils strengthen their understanding across the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum. Lessons are carefully sequenced to build fluency, deepen reasoning and support pupils as they apply mathematical knowledge with increasing independence.
Across the year, pupils explore place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, percentages, measurement, geometry and statistics. Fluency, reasoning and problem-solving opportunities are embedded throughout to support secure mathematical understanding and prepare pupils for Year 6.
