How to teach money in year 2?

Money is a really useful and interesting concept to teach, since it so clearly relates to our everyday life, and is probably something that children are already relatively familiar with. It’s quite easy to explain to children why they should actively engage in lessons about money as it will ensure that they always know how much something will cost, and what change they should expect to receive whilst paying. It also goes towards an understanding of managing their own money in the future – a vital life skill!
