B and D Formation Counter Activity – Phonics Family Range

B and D Formation Counter Activity – Phonics Family Range

Children often confuse the letters “b” and “d” in both their writing and reading. Help them to differentiate between the two letters with our B and D Formation Counter Activity – Phonics Family Range.

We’ve been working with the lovely Katie from Phonics Family to develop a whole new range of phonics resources that add a multi-sensory, activity-based element to phonics learning. Perfect for phonics intervention groups, during phonics sessions and for home learning, children will love these phonics activities!

How to use

Cut out the counters and stick onto card or laminate. Choose a counter and identify what sound the object starts with. Now push the counter around the corresponding large letter template with your finger to form the letter. Make sure to start at the green dot and finish on the red dot. For example, pick the counter with a dice picture and push it around the letter ‘d’ template to form the letter correctly.
