Pirate money resources
Oh ar! Help children get to grips with money, and quantities of money with this Add Money to the Pirate Treasure Chest Activity Pack. Encourage children to use the prompt cards to figure out how much money needs to go in the chest each time. Brilliant as a whole class activity, in pair work, or as part of your continuous provision and enhanced provision set-up.
Designed to be aligned with the following objective from the maths national curriculum:
- recognise and use symbols for pounds (£) and pence (p); combine amounts to make a particular value
- find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money
There are also editable prompt cards so that you can tailor this for your child, or children in your class, making it trickier or easier depending on their ability. This resource pack contains
- treasure chest
- coins in strips
- prompt cards
- editable blank prompt cards
Comes in a zip file with both colour and black/white versions.
