Case Study: How Belmont Grosvenor School Uses Spectacular SPaG Across the School

Belmont Grosvenor School introduced Mrs Mactivity’s Spectacular SPaG scheme to support a consistent whole-school approach to spelling, punctuation and grammar, with high-quality resources closely matched to curriculum expectations.

We spoke to Chris Walker, Deputy Head at Belmont Grosvenor School, about why the school chose Spectacular SPaG, how teachers have found implementing the scheme and the response from pupils.

Why Belmont Grosvenor chose Mrs Mactivity

For staff, one of the practical benefits is being able to find high-quality resources quickly. Chris describes the Mrs Mactivity website as easy to navigate, allowing teachers to spend less time searching for or creating materials from scratch.

Instead, teachers can use ready-made, curriculum-aligned resources as the basis for their teaching and spend more of their time on teaching, creativity and applying the resources to the needs of their pupils.
